Explaining Hillary: The Meaning of the Clintons-Scaife Alliance

Timothy Noah reports here. Of course Richard Scaife is talking through his hat when he says of Mrs. Clinton, “Walking into our conference room, not knowing what to expect (or even, perhaps, expecting the worst), took courage and confidence.” But Pennsylvania holds closed primaries, and registration closed on March 24, a week before the interview. So what’s the big idea?

As perhaps the only person on this planet that I’m aware of who does not think that Hillary Clinton was consciously lying about her flight into Bosnia “under sniper fire” or literally insane and is not afraid to say so (though this article by Christopher Hitchens does make me have second thoughts), I offer this unbiased explanation:

Mrs. Clinton and Mr. Scaife must be calling on Republicans outside of Pennsylvania - Pennsylvania holds - to vote for Mrs. Clinton.
